Welcome to Ledgerpaper, a weblog about Microsoft Excel for the financial professional. This weblog provides tips, tutorials, and will hopefully serve as a means to exchange tips and tricks.

Ledgerpaper is written and maintained by, me, Michael Doan. I’m a certified public accountant based in Orange County, California. I’ve been using Excel for the past 12 years in the field of accounting. Because I spend most of my working day using Excel, I enjoy learning new Excel functions/features that will make my life easier. I don’t have all the answers, but hopefully the readers of this weblog will.

I should point out the the tips and tricks here focus primarily on financial professionals; this means CPAs, financial planners, etc. You may still find the tips and tricks here useful even if you’re not in these professional. Don’t let it prevent you from asking a question.

This website is powered by Textpattern, using a customized version of the Simpla template originally designed by Phu. Textpattern plug-ins are in use also.

Although I write mostly about Microsoft Excel for Windows, I use Macs, a Powerbook G4 to be specific.

The Ledgerpaper logo was designed Arturo Rodriguez of Twinsparc.
